INFLUENCE OF A HIGHLY POROUS CERAMIC IMPLANT BASED ON ZIRCONIUM OXIDE (ZRO2) ON BONE TISSUE REGENERATION

نویسندگان

چکیده

The purpose of this experimental work was to determine the regeneration ability bone tissue due modern bioceramics synthesized and obtained using previously developed method reactive spark plasma sintering (Spark Plasma Sintering-Reactive Synthesis, SPS-RS). study performed on 26 laboratory rabbits - females New Zealand White breed, divided into two groups. evaluation burr hole after covering defect with a bioceramic implant by (BMD) X-ray densitometry days 7, 40, 210 surgery. As result study, there tight fixation in area the without its dislocation. There were no signs osteoporosis osteolysis surrounding tissues. And 210th day operation, according densitometric data, formation dense observed. use makes it possible immediately close large defects stimulate structures around them.

Fabrication of a yellow ceramic nano pigment based on zirconium oxide (ZrO2) and iron oxide as dopant (Fe2O3)

In this study, yellow ceramic nano pigments based on ZrO2 (zirconium oxide) were synthesized by solid state method using different value of Fe2O3 as dopant. The pigments were dispersed in solvent by a planetary ball mill and then the inks were printed on the ceramic surface using screen printing method. The samples were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction spectr...

Porous ceramic bone scaffolds for vascularized bone tissue regeneration.

Hydroxyapatite scaffolds with a multi modal porosity designed for use in tissue engineering of vascularized bone graft substitutes were prepared by three dimensional printing. Depending on the ratio of coarse (mean particle size 50 microm) to fine powder (mean particle size 4 microm) in the powder granulate and the sintering temperature total porosity was varied from 30% to 64%. While macroscop...

The use of ceramic drills on a zirconium oxide basis in bone preparation.

The favourable mechanical properties and high biocompatibility of the newly developed mixed ceramics composed of zirconium oxide and aluminium oxide have continuously extended the scope of their application. Rotating instruments on a zirconium oxide basis are regarded as superior to metal burs in dentoalveolar surgery in terms of favourable temperature effects on the surrounding bone tissue and...

A Review on Commonly Used Scaffolds in Tissue Engineering for Bone Tissue Regeneration

Introduction: Bone is one of the tissues that have a true potential for regeneration. However, sometimes the bone defects are so outsized that there is no chance of bone self-repair and restoration or the damage is such that it is not possible to repair with medical or surgical interventions. In these situations, bone grafts are the treatment of choice, but due to several obstacles, including l...
